  • The iPad is a wholly new product, though it will be familiar to anyone who has used an iPhone or iPod touch over the past couple of years. It is simultaneously a futuristic gadget the likes of which we’ve never seen before and a version-one device that...

  • Design, outstanding screen, App Store, excellent battery life, impressive performance, works with existing iPhone apps, great digital photo frame
  • Holding and typing is awkward, display smudges easily, screen almost impossible to see in direct sunlight, no USB port, no SD card reader, no camera, Web browser doesn't support Flash, currently limited content

  • In an act of aggressive tech convergence, Apple has consolidated your Netbook, e-reader, gaming device, photo frame, and iPod into an elegant, affordable supergadget , Bluetooth , 802.11n Wi-Fi , Movie rentals , 10 hours of battery life , Optional 3G wireless , Most-celebrated App Store on the planet
  • The iPad's large size is as much a hindrance as it is an advantage , The iPad can't entirely mimic many of the specialised products it seeks to replace , Limited multitasking capabilities , Lack of integrated video camera, Flash support, and HD video output
  • The Apple iPad is the first affordable tablet computer worth owning, but it won't (yet) replace your laptop....
