Smallest and lightest in class, Excellent build quality, Fantastic keyboard despite the small size, Responsive, businessgrade touchpoint, Available with builtin 3G WWAN, No noisy cooling fan
Expensive for an Atombased laptop, Gets a little hot, Glossy plastic lid is a magnet for fingerprints, Weak speakers, even for something this small, Not userupgradeable
Sony wants you to believe the VAIO P is a "Lifestyle PC" and not a netbook. Whether or not consumers will see it that way remains to be seen. As we said in our first look review, "the Sony VAIO P is not your average netbook." In fact, the VAIO P probably...

Abstract: One of the major announcements for CES 2009, the Sony VAIO P has been hailed by some as the ultimate netbook, and by others as a folly of “what Sony can do” rather than “what Sony should do”. SlashGear has been using the VAIO P for near enough the pas...

Elegant, thin design; large keyboard; multiple networking and connectivity options; high-resolution screen; less expensive than Sonys UMPC experiments.
Stuck with Windows Vista (for now); trackpoint navigation isnt ideal.
Sonys upscale Atom-powered Lifestyle PC has the components of a cheaper machine but the design of a more expensive one. The end result will be a useful travel PC for some and a conversation piece for others.

Stunningly light and thin design, Relatively spacious, comfortable keyboard, Integrated mobile broadband, Instant-on mode
Sluggish Vista performance, Built-in GPS slow to acquire signal, Bottom of system gets very warm, Expensive
Editors Note: We tested a pre-production sample of the VAIO P Series. Well update this review once we receive a final production unit.To say Sony is going against the grain would be an understatement. At a time other notebook vendors are heavily prom...
Abstract: I've had plenty of time to spend with Sony's bite-sized Vaio P, and now it's time to deliver a verdict on whether or not the 1.4-pound device really performs as advertised. Sony's Vaio P managed to generate some buzz at CES, largely based...
Stylish design, compact and light, good keyboard, clear display, noise-cancelling headphones included
Price, no touchpad, sluggish when running Windows Vista, no free upgrade to Windows 7, battery isn’t great
There is no denying the Sony VAIO P Series’ portability and style are compelling. However, the Sony VAIO VGNP15GG certainly doesn’t come cheap and performance isn’t up to the standard we expected. Still, there is simply no denying its ae...
