The editors didn't like

  • I wish the screen opened a full 180 degrees so I could rest the bottom edge on my lap while I use the touchscreen
  • Like I do with the Acer Aspire S7. Yep
  • Definitely not buying the touchscreen model
  • I also wish Dell opted for a bigger battery in this mac

  • Ridiculously beautiful display. Makes all bezels everywhere look huge and pointless. A 13inch laptop in the body of an 11inch laptop. Dell didn't try to do anything insane, it just did everything well
  • The webcam is always looking up my nose. Battery life could be better. You want to play games on this screen, but you shouldn't even try. Trackpad is finicky until you tweak its settings

  • Awesome form factor keeps the laptop slim, light, portable and nearly bezelfree. Great use of aluminium and carbon fiber. Intel delivers the goods from a performance perspective. Bright, high quality 1080p display that's upgradeable to QHD. Excellent batt
  • Trackpad needs some work. Touchscreen isn't standard.
  • I could write this conclusion in just a few lines, it's that easy to summarize my thoughts on the Dell XPS 13: simply put, this is the best Windows laptop you can currently buy . As far as I'm concerned, if you're after an ultraportable 13-inch Windows la...

  • Superb battery life, Good 7th-generation Core performance, Excellent Wi-Fi range, More ports than on competing laptops, Comfortable, soft-touch, carbon-fiber deck, Attractive rose-gold color option
  • Awkward webcam placement, Not as thin and light as some competitors
  • The Dell XPS 13 is the best ultraportable laptop for the money, thanks to its wonderfully compact design, long battery life and snappy performance....

  • The XPS 13 is a bold move from Dell. High quality build materials, a good keyboard, a good trackpad, and the latest generation Intel Ultrabook processor all inside a chassis with a display that is two sizes too big stuffed into it. Combine that with a 192...

  • The size, The weight, The screen, The design, The battery life, The starting price
  • The year is 2015. 8GB of RAM should be the baseline, with 16GB as an option. 4GB is barely enough to run Chrome, The starting price is the price of a system that you probably don't want to buy. The options are worth it, but expensive

  • Trim, efficient design, Comfortable keyboard, Great display, Speedy performance
  • Clumsy trackpad, Awkward webcam, Poor battery life
  • More times than not, the Verge score is based on the average of the subscores below. However, since this is a non-weighted average, we reserve the right to tweak the overall score if we feel it doesn't reflect our overall assessment and price of the produ...

  • Somewhat constrained port selection, Average wireless performance, Noisy fan on rare occasions, Touch configurations are relatively expensive
  • The Dell XPS 13-9343 Another day, another serious contender for the ultraportable crown. This past year alone, we've seen the latest MacBook Air revision (which, for all its strengths, features a relatively pedestrian display lacking touch), the Microsof...

  • LOVE the nobezel QHDdisplay, Excellent performance, Fast bootup, Fantastic build quality w/ carbon fiber, Great battery life
  • Highend SKUs are pricey
  • Performance Analysis:When it comes to straight-up performance metrics, the new 2015 Dell XPS 13 offered some of the best results we've seen from a 13-inch Ultrabook, generally speaking. Specifically, with respect to CPU and general compute scores, the new...
