  • Good idea, bad implementation Asus touts the Taichi 21 as the world's first dual-screen laptop/tablet hybrid. While that is very true, no one was asking for it. It would be one thing if the Taichi 21 revolutionized the tech world, but that just isn'...

  • Abstract:  The Asus Taichi is a brilliant idea – a tablet on the lid of a laptop, it aims to make the most of Windows 8's new touchscreen interface. Other devices force you to go through contortions, such as the Lenovo Yoga, which flips around so its screen can b...

  • Unique notebook to tablet dual-screen design, high-end finish, powerful internal specifications
  • Fiddly screen-switching control, non-touch internal display, three-hour battery life, high price
  • The Asus Taichi is a brilliantly designed and stylish looking device, which is very lightweight and portable. But for £1,000 for the lowest configuration, it's a little pricey for a notebook with a bonus tablet function....

  • Two dispays are better than one, Sexy looks, Bold approach to Windows 8
  • Screens prone to smudges, Not powerful enough for gaming, A tad bulky
  • A beautiful Ultrabook maverick that confirms two HD screens can definitely be better than one ...

  • A bold, dual-screened vision of the convertible tablet, but ergonomic niggles and mediocre battery life see it fall short of the mark...

  • We can't provide a definitive verdict until we've run our benchmarks on the Taichi, but it's safe to say that it's well built. We're not convinced that there's a need for two screens, though - Dell's XPS12 Duo and Lenovo's Yoga (and other convertibles)...
