When we first reported that the X99E-ITX was announced, we got a clear coarse reaction in the comment section. On one side of the equation were a group of users who were waiting for this sort of product to hit the market. Something small that could cater...

The X99E-ITX/ac combines the compactness of Mini ITX with the computing prowess of a Haswell-E CPU. A two-DIMM limit that seems restrictive by X99 standards is standard in Mini ITX, and our benchmark prove that more bandwidth is rarely needed. Being b...
Huge compute functionality, small footprint, USB 3.1, PCIe x4 M.2, SATA Express all present, Very efficient VRM, Great provided fan control, Great audio performance, Wide-open BIOS ready for tweaking to the limit, Dual-phase DIMM VRM for high-density DIMM
Limited platform functionality—only two ram slots and one PCIe slot, Bundled heatsink only truly good for stock operation, and provided watercooling bracket only works with select coolers, Wasn't a simple drop-in upgrade for other ASRock PC products

First of all please note that we didn't include any gaming results as the Core i7-5960X isn't really any faster than the LGA1150 Core i7 processors which makes gaming tests rather pointless. The Core i7-5960X's advantages tend more towards photo/video edi...

Asrock's X99EITX/ac delivers the performance of a fullsized EATX X99 board in a 170mm x 170mm package that still manages to carry enthusiast trappings from WiFi & Bluetooth to SATA Express & M.2 connectivity.
The board's limitations include four less SATA ports (six vs ten) and two DIMM slots vs four, though dualchannel RAM doesn't kill the i75960X's performance. Be ready to rationalize the expense of a closedloop cooler.
Abstract: Mini-ITX boards are the smallest (170mm x 170mm), but often have to make some sacrifices, such as only a single PCIe x16 port. micro-ATX (mATX) boards are significantly bigger (244mm x 244mm), and can often be found for very affordable prices. Connectivi...

If you have gone on YouTube lately, you might have seen a video of a bully getting beat up by a victim half his size, with the victim knocking out the bully with a single punch. In some sense, I think of the X99E-ITX/ac as the little underdog that packs ...
