  • Adjustable backlight in 3 colors. Removable wrist rest. Number keypad.
  • Keys spaced far apart. Huge keyboard. Backlight shines too brightly through keys.
  • When my PowerBook G4 keyboard, barely a year old, started popping keys and sticking, I sought an external keyboard to use, until I have time to send my machine to Apple for repair. The Saitek Industries Eclipse II Backlit Keyboard looked like a good so...

  • Unique look, very comfortable keys
  • Pricey
  • The Saitek Eclipse II Keyboard offers excellent soft-touch keys and a decent selection of useful features. Saitek is known more for its gaming peripherals than its input devices, but the Eclipse II keyboard is a bit of both. For gamers and modders, as...

  • Lower price compared to that of other backlit keyboards; three LED color options; easy setup.
  • No additional keys or customization software; keys feel cramped and mushy; not as fully featured as the competition.
  • If all you want is a backlit keyboard, Saiteks Eclipse II does that very well. We wish that Saitek had also refined the key feel and added a few other features. Aside from lighting up, it doesnt offer gamers much to get excited about.

  • Three backlight color choices Dimmer switch for adjusting brightness Keys are responsive and have a good, solid feel
  • Illumination not as bright as previous version Purple color inconsistent (reddish side lighting) Media keys are not laser etched
  • One of the more important things for me is the layout of the keyboard. As mentioned before, the Eclipse II has gone back to the familiar 104 key setup. My old cheap keyboard which I was using prior to buying the original Eclipse, has seen its share of...

  • Abstract:  What do you do if youre the company that produces arguably the most popular keyboard on the market for enthusiasts and gamers--the Eclipse? If youre Saitek, you go back to the drawing board and polish the design until a great product is even better. ...

  • Abstract:  I would just like to start off by saying that I am nothing but impressed with Saitek Eclipse II Keyboard. As a previous user of its predecessor, the Saitek Eclipse, I truly believe that the development team has listened to the opinions of its users and...
