  • Abstract:  Video Review: If you're in the market for a medium sized cooler that performs well, looks great and has the option of installing two 120mm fans, this might be the cooler for you. The Xigmatek Thor's Hammer CPU Cooler might not be the best performing cooler on the market, but it still ranks high in it's class.

  • High quality, Good performance, Well packed
  • Sharp corners on heatsink, No fan included.
  • This is a very nice cpu cooler, I had my doubts about Xigmatek in the past but this certainly changed my mind. The cooler performs outstanding even compared vs a Zalman cpu cooler as we saw in the earlier test. The only flaw that I have seen is that n...

  • Excellent cooling performance, Excellent passive cooler, Great look, Seven heatpipes, Effective direct touch design, Wide compatibility
  • Very tedious and frustrating installation, No fans included, BIG, may not fit in some cases
  • Xigmatek's Thor's Hammer is a formidable weapon in the battle against processor heat. It performed on par with the very best coolers in the comparison using a couple of inexpensive and quiet fans. The Hammer is a big cooler, particularly with two 120...

  • Abstract:  Standing 157mm tall, the Xigmatek Thors Hammer heatsink tips the scales at 800 grams and has a rather boxy footprint of 120 x 116mm. It accomodates one or two 120mm fans that mount to the fins with special rubber vibration absorbing posts. ...

  • The Xigmatek Thors Hammer is a mans man CPU cooler. The looks says that it is not to be messed with. The performance says its not going to bring a knife to a gun fight. Xigmatek had a winner with the HDT-S1283. With the Thors Hammer, Xigmatek is bri...

  • Abstract:  With high CFM fans the differences become immensely small, the Thor’s Hammer is one of a small group of heatsinks we tested which was able to match the Ultra-120 Extreme with the Delta 3200rpm; With the Global NCB performance/noise is very respectable but not able to...

  • XIGMATEK Thors Hammer proved not only a good cooler for extremely hot overclocked CPUs, but took a well deserved place among the best air coolers. At this point it is important to understand that Thors Hammer needs two fans instead of one to be insta...

  • Abstract:  Weve seen CPU coolers in all shapes and sizes, materials and costs, and its always interesting to see the new names of some of these products, showing how marketing is hit and miss just like the coolers themselves. Xigmateks Thors Hammer is certain...

  • Meets and exceeds our previous best performance, Seven total large-gauge heat-pipes, Staggered aluminum alloy fins offer excellent dissipation, Includes bolt-through mounting kit, Cools the most overclocked computer systems
  • Premium pricing, No spare soft rubber Tclip supplied, Does not include cooling fans
  • Intel has made its mark with their LGA775 Socket T interface, but the age of Phenom II and Core i7 is upon us. For enthusiasts and overclockers, theres still plenty of life left in the old platform. Prices on the Intel Core 2 Quad Q8200 have dropped...
