  • Long and wide-angle zoom lens in a compact body; 720p movies; lens can zoom during movie capture.
  • Very few manual controls.
  • As long as you dont want much in the way of manual features, the Panasonic Lumix DMC-ZS3 is a very nice camera that can handle a variety of shooting situations.

  • 460k dot LCD, excellent tonal range and colours
  • Poorlyplaced mode dial, lack of PASM, fairly aggressive noise at ISO 1600
  • The TZ7 s a very good camera. It offers exactly what models in the compact superzoom market should: namely, an extensive focal range in a compact body, along with extensive functionality and an ample LCD screen. However, it does have niggles with rega...

  • Very good photo quality, Packs a 12X, 25 300 mm lens into a small, wellbuilt package, Optical image stabilization, Very little barrel distortion, Stunning 3inch LCD display with excellent resolution and outdoor / low light visibility, Snappy performanc...
  • Images have a grainy appearance, even at lowest ISOs; still some smudging of low contrast detail, AVCHD Lite codec makes video sharing and editing a chore (though you dont have to use it); no video viewer/editor for Mac OS included, Cant adjust white...
  • Its no secret that I really liked last years Panasonic Lumix DMC-TZ5. Its replacement -- the Lumix DMC-ZS3 (also known as the TZ7) -- is even better, in most respects. I love the new lens and its very versatile focal range, and the Intelligent Auto M...

  • The Panasonic Lumix DMC-TZ7 is easy to recommend to anyone looking for a compact, pocketable point-and-shoot camera that takes great photos with the added bonus of HD video. Although the DMC-TZ7 no longer has the travel zoom market to itself, with the...

  • Abstract:  Panasonic’s Lumix DMC-TZ7 (or ZS3 as it’s known in North America) is a 10.1 Megapixel compact with a detailed 3in screen, HD video recording and a 12x optically-stabilised zoom. Launched in January 2009, exactly one year after the best-selling Lumix T...

  • The Panasonic Lumix DMC-TZ7 is set to be one of the best super-zoom, point-and-shoot compact digital cameras on the market. If you've been considering purchasing a new compact camera, it's definitely plumping for this snapper — especially if you want ...

  • Abstract:  Panasonic has long been a leader in the ultra-zoom category, largely because it has produced cameras that are genuinely pocketable but are also easy to use, feature-rich and offer good performance. Unfortunately, its taken almost six months since we f...

  • 300mm zoom lens (35mm equivalent), excellent face recognition and tracking, intelligent ISO, takes clear photos, 27 scene modes
  • Awkward placement of the shutter button, very loose mode dial
  • Apart from a couple of design quirks, we think the Panasonic LUMIX DMC-TZ7 digital camera is almost the perfect point-and-shoot. It’s easy to use, has a wide-angle lens with a huge zoom, produces good colours and clear images, and it can double as a...

  • Excellent LCD screen , 12x optical zoom , HD video , Clean, crisp images up to ISO 400
  • Mode dial has a tendency to fall out of place , No manual controls , Zoom in movie mode is achingly slow , Flickering band across video
  • If it wasn't for the clunky mode dial and lack of manual controls, we would have no qualms about recommending the TZ7 to anyone looking for a compact camera with a 12x optical zoom and HD video recording....
