The Nikon CoolPix S610 is similar to the S600 model. This unit is featured with a 10 mega pixel sensor and 4x digital zoom. Another prominent feature is the presence of a Wi-Fi connection. Advanced features like Active child mode, sixteen program modes, AF tracking etc makes this unit special in its series.
The 28 mm wide angle lens ensures quality photographs. The advanced vibration reduction feature makes photography much easier and cool as the brand name. The colour balancing quality of the device is good enough to provide vibrant photographs. With the facility to track 12 faces, the face detection technology adds on to the features of this camera. The wide 3 inch LCD screen
makes the camera an amazing one.
The editors liked the optical stabilisation feature of this gadget as blurring at slow shutter speed is totally avoided. The time taken to get switched on is just 1.2 seconds and is also pretty fast in capturing snaps. The Wi-Fi mode permits to upload the captured images to the website - MyPictureTown Nikon and even create albums.
The editors are of the opinion that this device is better suited for beginners or children as it delivers just the basic features and that’s what expected from a device of this prize range.

This model is stylish, compact and easy to use. More than professionals, beginners will find it attractive and the price tag of approximately $163.96 delivers you some promising features. But Fujifilm's F100fd model is much cheaper and is loaded with more features.
