The Nikon Coolpix L18 is rated by the reviewers as one of the quickest point-and-shoot cameras that have ever been made. It has a large 3 inch LCD display screen, 23MB storage built-in.8 megapixel CCD imager, 2 AA batteries’, a red-eye fixer installed in the camera, and a face detection AF exclusive function.
It also has a rare zooming function while shooting videos.
The Coolpix L 18 is one of the simplest cameras to handle, having only few controls and being very easy to change settings. It has 4 modes that one can select from, the Easy Auto mode, the Movies mode, the Scene mode and the simplest Auto mode.
Just turn on the camera, select a mode and one can start clicking right away. The editors felt that it’s an apt selection for point-shoot photographers and for beginners as well.

TestSeek's Conclusion
The Nikon Coolpix L 18 is an easy to use camera, and is very suitable for beginners and those who are looking mainly for a point-and-shoot camera. However, the reviewers do not recommend it if one is looking for perfect images and a good colour balance.
