  • Okay, I've run out of poison for my pen. So I hate the X100, right? Wrong. This is a real tricky traverse I'm going to attempt here, I hope I don't fall. First, this is an expensive camera for what it does (US$1199). At that price we can get a D7000, s...

  • I am in love! Yes, the X100 is THE camera that I was always looking for and the only camera I would love to always carry around with me. Maybe it’s not as fancy as a Leica M9/M8.2 or X1, the X100 is also way more affordable than these cameras, and sti...

  • Like: This camera not only feels right to anyone brought up on classic 35mm film cameras it also delivers the goods in excellent images with good colour, sharpness and dynamic range. The lens is outstanding and the viewfinder simply brilliant.
  • Dislike: The only thing that may hold the X100 back in the market place is the noninterchangeable lens. 23mm on an APSC sensor is moderate wideangle and won't be to everyone's liking, even if it is optically dazzling

  • Thanks to great photo quality, a clever hybrid viewfinder, and a cool, retro design, there's a lot to like about the Fujifilm FinePix X100
  • Sluggish performance, especially for such a high-priced camera, and a frustrating navigation control make shooting with the camera a lot less fluid than it should be
  • If you have the bucks and you want the best photo quality possible, the Fujifilm FinePix X100 delivers. But definitely try before you buy to make sure the focusing systems won't make you crazy....

  • Great looking retro design; excellent ISO performance; innovative hybrid viewfinder system; intuitive control layout.
  • Expensive; iffy autofocus performance; cannot change settings while recording video; mediocre battery life.
  • There's little doubt that the Fujifilm FinePix X100 is one of this year's most unique cameras. It is as if Fujifilm designed the X100 specifically for camera enthusiasts who yearn to use their old rangefinder cameras again. Yes, what really defines th...

  • Exceptional design, Large, clear optical viewfinder, Quick f/2 lens provides speed and background blur, Very low noise in high ISO images
  • High price, Slow AF system, Slow manual focus ring
  • We've been trying to find a way to sum up our feelings about the Fujifilm FinePix X100, and the closest we can come to is this: The X100 is like an eccentric genius; mostly brilliant, but interrupted by head-scratching quirks. The design is stunning, let d...
