  • Wi-Fi capability includes full remote control and capture; ultracompact design; excellent burst capabilities; low shutter lag.
  • Cannot email from camera as with Kodaks EasyShare-One; no remote capture via USB; few manual controls or scene modes; image quality far from stellar.
  • The Canon Digital IXUS Wireless is the only consumer-level choice out there for wireless remote shooting and capture, but its an otherwise average camera.

  • Oddly, apart from the wireless link, there's very little in the way of cutting edge design when it comes to the other features on offer. With an entry-level 5-megapixel resolution and a 2-inch LCD screen with only 118k pixels, this camera definitely fi...

  • Wireless connectivity
  • Camera features inadequate
  • Just how hard is it to connect a cable and transfer images across a USB connection? Well, its obviously too much for some people, otherwise why would Canon produce this Wi-Fi-capable Ixus?Oddly, apart from the wireless link, theres very little in the...

  • Wi-Fi works well. Photos are clean and punchy. Good 2in screen.

  • A stylish and capable camera, further enhanced by wireless tech ...

  • Abstract:  Wireless network adaptors are cropping up on all sorts of devices, but Canons Digital Ixus Wireless is only the second camera weve seen to contain one. To some it might seem like a pointless gimmick, but we like the idea of simply pressing a coupl...

  • Abstract:  Canons debut to the world of Wi-Fi-enabled cameras isnt cheap, but it offers superb attention to detail. Canons wireless features were a joy to use, but the price for this luxury is just too high. The Ixus brand is synonymous with stylish, compact...

  • Gorgeous, compact designEasy Wi-Fi, Good snaps
  • High price
  • A nifty camera with very well done wireless functionality. However, until the price slides, Nikons P1 will rule the Wi-Fi roost.

  • Abstract:  A joy to use and, despite the increased bulk, still eminently pocketable if you can stomach the price IXUS was once a byword for tiny, but as it enters middle age the range is growing up. This is essentially our A-Listed IXUS 55 (see p42) with Wi-Fi f...

  • Great build, small but stylish, easy handling, comprehensive specification and neat wireless capabilities
  • Wireless shutter control only with Windows XP SP2 operating system, noisier than expected images
  • If Wi-Fi connectivity is not essential, you can save your money, if it is, the IXUS Wireless provides a comprehensive and simple to use package so will be worth considering
