  • Probably the best of its type
  • Poor still images and does little more than a cameraphone
  • Overall this device is about video and if you are after this type of device, then this is definitely one to consider.

  • Offers 1080p video resolution; good sound; easy top use controls; removable battery.
  • Poor video quality; zoom stutters; no image stabilization or an external microphone jack; no HDMI output.
  • The Webbie MHS-PM1 is priced competitively compared with other pocket camcorders, and it has a nice design and is easy to use. But it’s hard to overlook the disappointing image quality it produces, especially when compared to Flip UltraHD. ...

  • Abstract:  As far as ultra-compact budget camcorders go, the MHS-PM1 ($169.99 MSRP) has a few big features that help set it apart from the rest of the crowd. Its rotatable lens design is an excellent innovation, as it allows for easy access to self-shooting and h...

  • Swivel lens allows for a wide array of shooting angles, Fun, lightweight design with three color options, Sharp 1440 x 1080 video
  • Jerky zoom, Blurry still photos, Lacks flip-out USB connector or HDMI output, No editing tools software
  • We’ve been eagerly awaiting Sony’s first sub-$200 pocket camcorder, and the $169 MHS-PM1 Webbie HD sets itself apart from the competition with a higher resolution (1440 x 1080 to the competition’s 720p), a swiveling lens, and a lightweig...

  • The versatile Sony Webbie HD MHS-PM1 camcorder is a good looker and provides plenty of control over your footage. It stands head and shoulders above the rest of the competition here, but we’re puzzled as to why Sony has saddled it with such a huge pre...

  • Attractive design; captures video at 720p and 1080p "HD" resolution; memory-card expansion slot; swiveling lens; component video cables; rechargeable lithium ion battery.
  • Price doesnt include an optional memory card (onboard memory is limited to 12MB for capturing video); rechargeable battery doesnt recharge via USB connector; no integrated USB connector; no protective carrying case included.
  • The MHS-PM1 Webbie HD represents a step forward for Sony in the minicamcorder arena--but some quirks and only OK video quality prevent it from being compelling enough to best the competition.
