  • Full 1080p recording at 30FPS, really good video recording quality, easy to use, composite and HDMI TV-Out, dedicated macro mode, good display quality
  • Large and bulky design, short USB cable, very narrow field of vision in 1080p mode

  • Expandable memory, Full HD recording, Compact design, Vibrant screen
  • Grain sized buttons, Low image details, Night videos are a little under-exposed
  • Towards the side you will find the power button and a memory expansion slot that supports a whopping 32 GB. Sadly the people at Kodak don’t feel the importance of throwing in a memory card which is an added expense since the camcorder can just squee...

  • Amazingly cheap; easy to use; small and light; included HDMI cable
  • Auto functions vary in their effectiveness; few manual options; poor built-in microphone; no optical zoom
  • The Kodak Zi8 might not look much like a camcorder, but you'd be wrong to write it off as just a toy. While you're never going to get broadcast-quality video out of it, the Zi8 is compact, straightforward and capable of producing some relatively impre...

  • If the best-quality footage and shooting options galore are your main needs in an HD pocket camcorder, the Kodak Zi8 gets a glowing recommendation. However, we did experience some key usability issues, even if its video quality blows the competition o...

  • Abstract:  It may have taken a few tries, but Kodak's line of pocket handicams has now officially blown Pure Digital's wildy-popular Flip series out of the water. Inside and out, the Zi8 is brimming with upgrades (including 1080p) and little touches (such as a pr...

  • Fixed focus lens, 1080p support, easy to getting recording, HDMI socket
  • Controls fiddly, image stablisation didn’t seem to work, large, internal mic is awful outside
  • On the whole the pro’s do outweigh the cons, but you need to be aware of those cons before parting with your cash to avoid being disappointed....
