Impressive black levels and contrast ratio, Excellent backlight uniformity, Superb colour accuracy out-of-the-box, Reference greyscale post-calibration, Picture processing is of a very high standard, Much improved 3D performance, Lots of video-on-demand c
Build quality could be better, Viewing angles could be better, 3D glasses could use side shielding
With its simple black brushed metal bezel, the 40W905 seems boringly traditional compared to much of the competition and even some previous Sony designs. The eye-catching semicircular chrome stand saves the 40W905 from becoming a complete wall-flower but...
Faithful colours in Custom mode (average Delta E = 1.7), Good contrast (2,310:1), Almost no crosstalk in 3D mode, Good motion interpolation, Two remotes (one compact and one NFCcompatible)
Glossy screen makes it sensitive to glare, Narrow viewing angles, Risk of clouding

Picture quality is spectacular, sound quality is powerful and clean, and there's a decent amount of video content on the SEN.
The Smart TV interface is a little basic, there's some slight crosstalk with 3D, and the viewing angle is unusually limited
Sony's addition of Triluminos technology to an improved version of last year's groundbreaking local dimming/edge LED combination delivers pictures which are pretty much irresistible. And just for good measure, these stunning pictures are accompanied by s...

Beautiful image quality, vibrant colour fidelity, 3D performance is strong, bright full HD 3D clarity, great design and build quality is top notch, wide range of file support including MKV
Lack of a second usable tuner is definitely a handicap, limited apps and on-demand content
Sony's KDL-40W905A is a gorgeous LED screen with class-leading colour performance and motion resolution, and a design that's unashamedly lush. We really like the way the emerald green diamond cut bezel sets the TV apart from its narrow bezel competition...
Great picture quality, Black depth and very little bleeding, TV SideView app is great, Cinema profile, Improved sound system, Very low input lag
Narrow viewing angles, 3D glasses flicker, Smart TV still not very good, Plastic base
Sony W9 has a new Smart TV platform called Sony Entertainment Network. From here you can access TV apps, such as Netflix, YouTube and more. However, the TV app experience still leaves a lot to be desired and you can get a much better solution with one of ...
Good blacks, Extremely accurate colors, Excellent motion processing
Some complaints about 3D performance, Fewer Internet features than some competitors
The Sony Bravia KDL-55W900A is a performance powerhouse, most reviewers say, and its Quantum Dots technology results in color that's simply unsurpassed. Blacks may not be the deepest you can find, but they're deep enough to satisfy even picky viewers. The...
Sony's latest LCD may have more multimedia options than you'll need (the company bills the KDL-55W900A as an Internet TV ), but in this case those features are accompanied by serious performance chops. Everything I watched on the TV, from reference Blu-r...

The Sony KDL-55W900A features some of the best colors available on an LCD; deep black levels with excellent shadow details and gamma; sleek design; solid features including four pairs of active 3D glasses; introduces very little input lag
More expensive than an ST60 plasma, only available only in a 55-inch size, some strange artifacts in 3D
The Sony W900A is a fine television, but its Triluminos technology pushes the price way beyond competitiveness.
