  • Excellent, faithful Guitar Hero gameplay; technically impressive; great presentation.
  • Core game feels odd on a handheld machine; controls will frustrate some and strain the wrists of others.
  • Very solid and well put together, though an odd choice for a handheld. Recommended for big GH fans and casual gamers.

  • Abstract:  Do we really need a portable Guitar Hero game? That is the question I asked out loud when I first heard that Activision and RedOctane were considering bringing their hugely popular franchise to the Nintendo DS. While I love rocking the fake plastic gui...

  • A disappointment for would-be DS axe manglers,as the uncomfortable grip, less than accurate picking, gimmicky duel mode and patchy tracklist conspire to spoil an otherwise decent conversion....

  • Abstract:  Guitar Hero: On Tour - Guitar Hero: Incredible Hand Cramp, as I like to call it - on the DS does an admirable job of replicating the console Guitar Hero experience. By way of the included fret attachment, which plugs into the GBA cartridge...

  • Abstract:  Rock and roll enjoyment on the go is what Guitar Hero: On Tour is all about and I think you will like it if you are a Guitar Hero fan. It would’ve been nice if the audio quality of the songs were a little better, but I think that might be a Nintendo ...

  • Portable version of the familiar franchise gameplay, plenty of songs and good use of the touchscreen.
  • An uncomfortable, ergonomic mess. It’s hard to hold and often too difficult to divide attention between two screens. Play with caution.

  • Abstract:  As a fan of the ridiculously popular Guitar Hero franchise I was both nervous and excited about it’s debut on Nintendo’s portable platform; on the one hand, I was thrilled by the prospect of playing the addictive guitar-strumming sim anywhere I wanted...
