  • 3D does not play nicely with the motion controls; Monkey Race and Monkey Fight modes are very boring knockoffs of Mario Kart and Smash Bros; some courses aren't terribly fun to negotiate with the accelerometer.

  • Super Monkey Ball 3D continues the trend of the franchise’s downward spiral. The game looks and sounds great, and Challenge Mode is a lot of fun. Meanwhile Monkey Fight and Monkey Race are the only two mini games included, and both are pretty awful. Th...

  • Abstract:  Sega sure knows how to milk their franchises for all they’re worth; Debuting as an Arcade exclusive in 2000, Monkey Ball began its console life on the GameCube the following year underneath the title “Super Monkey Ball”, and has since been ...

  • Abstract:  In our review of the Nintendo 3DS, we highlighted Super Street Fighter IV as one of the top titles available at the system's launch. We found ourselves hugely impressed by the graphics, use of the dual screens, and controls. Of course, fighters are n...

  • Classic Monkey Ball mode looks cool in 3D, Motion controls are neat and responsive.
  • racing physics, Dull fighting action, Only one mode worth playing.
  • Super Monkey Ball 3D's one enjoyable mode can't compensate for the other two stinkers, making this a disappointing showing for the sphere-bound simians....

  • A stellar action puzzle hybrid with tight controls, Monkey Ball 3D is the best Monkey Ball game since the original, and Sega's found some cool ways to implement the system’s 3D functionality and make it relevant to the gameplay. Though it has some big ...

  • Abstract:  Early adopters of the Nintendo 3DS will no doubt be looking for software to show off their new system. Super Monkey Ball 3D is one of those games that straddles the line between a "game to own" and a "game to show off." In 3D, it looks good, and with t...

  • Abstract:  One of the coolest monkeys returns to the console world... not Donkey or Diddy Kong but rather AiAi and his outrageous friends which brings gamers back to the wonderful world of Super Monkey Ball. Thankfully for fans of this series and new comers, SEG...
