It's a tough decision, and one that should be influenced mainly by what you'll use the tablet for. If, for example, you'll be using it to watch movies or take photos, you may want to go for the Tab S3 with its Super AMOLED display and 13Mp rear-facing cam...

To buy the Galaxy Tab S3 with 32GB of memory, you'll pay £599. That's £50 more than the equivalent Apple iPad Pro 9.7in, although you'll need to add in an Apple Pencil (£99) to get all the functionality of the Tab S3, which makes the iPad Pro a little mor...

Tab S2 enough for most, Limited bass
Samsung's new Android tablet is a stunning device that takes the fight to Apple's 9.7-inch iPad Pro...
Stunning screen, excellent pen support and good speakers
Only 32GB storage, dated design and user interface
So far, I've neglected to mention the price: £599 for the WiFi version, and £679 if you want 4G, too. That's a massive chunk of cash for a tablet that's left me nothing short of conflicted. On the one hand, it has the best pen input available on any table...

AMOLED screen packs in resolution and HDR (high dynamic range) brightness, great S Pen stylus included, slim and light design that looks great
Expensive, no keyboard included for the price, slippy rear glass, limited use for HDR content right now, multi-tasking not as deft as laptop/phone setup
As Android tablets go, the Samsung Galaxy Tab S3 can't be bettered. It certainly gives the iPad Pro a run for its money. But money is the critical point: at £600, the Tab S3 is a pricey slate that doesn't really achieve laptop-replacement levels on account...
