  • Pen and headphones capture 3D audio and link it to the notes you make on the dot paper. Pen contains other apps like a recorder, calculator, and toy piano. Print your own dot paper (600 dpi printer required). Livescribe Desktop software lets you search yo...
  • No OCR to translate your written notes to plain text. Livescribe Online glitchy for Mac
  • We loved writing with this well-balanced, classy pen, and the powerful Paper Replay functions worked incredibly well. Businesspeople, journalists, students, secretaries, and anyone who takes a lot of notes during talks will find this an invaluable too...

  • The Livescribe Pulse smartpen is an excellent device for notetakers. If you take notes often, the Livescribe Pulse is a must-have. The largest drawback of the Pulse smartpen has to be the desktop software. I hope to see Livescribe further optimize its...

  • Records audio in sync with writing, Many built-in features, Long battery life, Innovative controls and tools
  • Requires special dotted paper, No included OCR software, No Mac support
  • There is no denying that the Livescribe Pulse is one smart pen. It works as promised, recording audio as you take notes. Even better, the sound quality is superb for such a small device. Those looking for a digital pen that will turn your handwriting i...

  • Very easy to use, Records audio and ink, Can search for written words in text, Can share notes with others
  • Have to use special paper with the pen
  • Kids sure are lucky these days because they have laptops and PDAs to help them with their school work. Back in my day, all we had were pencils, that we had to sharpen with a pocket knife as we walked to school barefoot in the snow. Ok, maybe it wasnt...

  • Sharp OLED display, great battery life, Livescribe Online Pen meets Web 2.0!, Paper product choices and quality, Quite capacious (1 and 2 GB holds many hours of voice), Pen itself is reasonably priced
  • A little too large for heavy writing sessions, Livescribe desktop shows potential but needs improvement, Currently no Mac support, Paper products are expensive, No OCR included
  • The Pulse pen shows a lot of promise. The technology is quite noteworthy and the extensibility framework exists to make the pen an important part of a student and business executives toolkit. However, there will need to be a lot more enhancements ...

  • Extremely accurate. Great sound detection. Speaker is loud. A bit fat, but still a reasonable size for a pen.
  • Software is little help in organizing notes. Audio picks up pen scratching sounds. Rolls off flat surfaces easily.
  • Livescribes Pulse Smartpen may be the best way of digitally capturing synchronized written and audio notes....

  • I like the Livescribe Pulse quite a bit. I think it performs as advertised and is relatively easy to use. That said, this doesn't offer anything enticing or groundbreaking for people who don't use a pen and paper on a regular basis. It's a pro...
